Steam has just released details of the most played games on the Steam Deck and Elden Ring has edged out 7 of its rivals to secure the top spot.

Elden Ring is now the most-played game on Steam Deck, likely thanks to the arrival of the recently released DLC, Shadow of The Erdtree. The DLC launched on June 21, 2024, and quickly saw thousands of players join in the action – with SteamDB highlighting over 400,000 players currently in the game.

News of Elden Ring’s rise to “Most Played Game on Steam Deck” came to us thanks to Steam’s new rankings, which give us a closer look at what games Steam Deck players are playing. The leaderboard is available on the store’s main page and highlights the top 100 games and top hits of the month. Users also have the option to select last week, last month, and last year.

Historically, Steam would announce the top 20 games via an X release towards the end of the month.
