El Paso woman convicted of impersonating her teenage daughter at San Elizario Middle School and trespassing
EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) —
An El Paso woman was convicted of trespassing at San Elizario Middle School and impersonating her 13-year-old daughter in 2021.
Deputies received information that 30-year-old Casey Garcia had entered San Elizario Middle School without permission.
Detectives met with school administration, who informed them that Garcia was pretending to be his 13-year-old daughter and attending multiple classes throughout the school day.
Garcia posted her intrusion on the social media platform TikTok, saying she was trying to make her point by proving the ease with which an adult could enter campus.
Detectives then obtained an arrest warrant for Garcia for criminal trespass.
On November 15, Garcia went to trial and the jury deliberated on a guilty verdict, with a sentence of 6 months probation, 100 hours of community service and a sanctioned fine of $700.
