- Anthony Joshua is not in the ring since the Knockout by Daniel Dubois last year
- With Tyson Fury to retirement, AJ’s options to put his career on the right track are limited
- Promoter Eddie Hearn opens on the retirement plan for British Fighter
Eddie Hearn opened up to the fact that Anthony Joshua thinks or not of retirement when he goes back to the top of the boxing.
AJ has undergone several high -level defeats in recent years after his two defeats against Oleksandr Usyk were followed by Daniel Dubois blows last September.
This fight saw Joshua abandon the IBF heavyweight title after having flowed on the canvas in the fifth round at Wembley.
This gave both Joshua – and his promoter Hearn – the challenge of finding a path to rebuild the reputation of 35 years, or call him.
A successful British success against Tyson Fury was plunged for a certain point this year, but King Gitan, in shock from his own Usyk defeats, withdrew from sport last month to close this avenue to redemption for Joshua.
Fury’s decision led to speculation that Joshua can follow suit and also retire. And Hearn admitted that this day would not be too far.
“Not yet, but there will be time,” said Hearn.
“This kind of conversations really comes from behind the way someone performs in the camp.

Eddie Hearn insists that Joshua looked in shape during training for the September fight

The promoter Hearn says he will know when the time will come to discuss retirement with AJ
“At the camp, if you don’t have it anymore, it will be apparent. The injuries will get worse, you will be injured in the fight against someone you should not hurt yourself.
“You are not lively and when this moment happens, it is at this point that the team will say” AJ does not seem good, you know “and this is the moment when I will have Probably a conversation with him.
“For Daniel Dubois’s fight, the camp was great. He was super clear and we were really confident to go to this fight, winning four good victories, two very good victories, and we thought he would win.
“ We knew how dangerous the fight was, so it comes out, has a terrible beginning, never really recovers, comes back a little in the fight and begins to sing. No problem.
“If the camp had passed very badly and we were not sure, I think that the conversation may have been advanced.”
So, with retirement outside the short term cards, which is the duo who looks at Joshua’s next fight? The answer to this will become Claire after the next weekend.

Tyson Fury announced his retirement, closing an avenue for the buyout for AJ

Daniel Dubois is preparing to defend his title against Joseph Parker in Saudi Arabia
Dubois will defend his title on February 22 in Saudi Arabia when he faces Kiwi Joseph Parker. Hearn and AJ’s plan is to fight the winner – anyone.
Hearn told Betfred: “Right now because Tyson Fury is withdrawn, so put it next, the number one choice for AJ is to fight for the world truck title. It’s 99% of what he wants to do and if it’s Daniel Dubois, no problem. If it’s Joseph Parker, no problem.
“If Aj turns around and says that it is what it does, then it’s done. It is not me who says that he cannot fight Daniel Dubois. Some people say he shouldn’t have fought Oleksandr Usyk. What are you talking about?
“It’s your work, it is compulsory, what do you want to do?” Give your belt and have all these criticisms that you dodged USYK and you left your belt to do it?
