EC Godlove graduate, Indians pass Astros by 15

LEES CREEK — Despite a 23-point fourth quarter, East Clinton was beaten by Cedarville 62-47 on Saturday night in a non-league game against former Kenton Trace Conference rivals.

The Astros (0-6) have struggled on offense with just 24 points in three quarters.

But East Clinton found his touch in the fourth, scoring 23 points.

“We were down 21 points in fourth and cut it to 10,” said EC coach Clyde Snow. “These boys showed in the fourth that they were hungry for that first win.”

And Snow thinks it’s not far.

“We are slowly putting things in place,” he said. “I give props to Coach (Ryan) Godlove. He built a program there in Cedarville. He has big, strong guys.

Godlove graduated from East Clinton High School.

Cedarville’s Jackson Howdyshell led all scorers with 24 points.

Dakota Collom had 16 points to beat East Clinton while Dameon Williams contributed with 13 points.
