Ebanie Bridges poses alongside Conor McGregor at ringside for Katie Taylor vs. Chantelle Cameron

Ebanie Bridges and Conor McGregor were all smiles as they watched the Katie Taylor vs. Chantelle Cameron fight on Saturday night.

McGregor was there to cheer on Taylor, with both hailing from Ireland, while Bridges showed up to support her compatriots in a huge fight for the sport.

At one point, McGregor and Bridges met for a photo, as the IBF world bantamweight champion posted the pair on Twitter alongside the caption: “Ringside with the one and only @TheNotoriousMMA.”

McGregor wouldn’t have smiled for long, however, as he then watched Taylor suffer his first career loss.

It was a terrific fight, but aside from the occasional flash of his dazzling hand speed, Taylor struggled to gain a foothold in the fight.

As Cameron applied relentless pressure throughout, stalking Taylor around the ring and landing the most eye-catching punches throughout.

As the judges’ scorecards progressed, it was announced that Cameron had won by majority decision to retain his undisputed world lightweight welterweight titles.

And it looks like we could watch the fight again, because after the fight Taylor’s promoter Eddie Hearn revealed there was a rematch clause.

“There is of course a rematch clause and we will do this fight again in Dublin, Ireland,” Hearn said.

Meanwhile, Taylor herself added, “Congratulations to Chantelle on a fantastic performance and thank you so much for this opportunity. I’m looking forward to the rematch.”
