Ebanie Bridges celebrated with Leeds trio Luke Ayling, Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper after securing his IBF bantamweight title.
The Australian won the belt at the second attempt by beating Argentina’s Maria Cecilia Roman on points.

‘The Blonde Bomber’ won a thrilling contest after the judges awarded the points in her favor
The competition, which took place in the First Direct Arena in Leeds, saw ‘The Blonde Bomber’ win by unanimous decision – the scores being 100-91, 97-93, 97-93.
It was far from an easy competition for Bridges, as the 39-year-old Argentine started the first three rounds well and looked strong in the fifth.
But after that, Bridges – a former bodybuilder who also works as a teacher in Sydney – took control.
And as she trailed off in the tenth and final round, the Aussie dug deep to win the round, which proved to be a big factor in helping her win the fight.
And after the referee raised her hand at the end, she duly celebrated and then caught up with the three Leeds footballers.
Club captain Cooper and vice-skipper Ayling were both present, as was one of the team’s star players at Phillips.

Bridges’ first attempt to win the belt came against Shannon Courtenay last March, but she lost via unanimous decision.
After his victory, Bridges met the players and took a photo with them.
The photo, which was uploaded to his Instagram account, was captioned: “Yes boys! So good to see you at ringside.”

The Leeds trio saw a great fight
Before meeting the players, in the moments after the win, ‘Blonde Bomber’ sought to silence her detractors, albeit rather successfully.
“It’s the fights that, I know it’s not the fights that you’re supposed to have really, but I like those kinds of fights. They are entertaining for the fans,” she said.
“First of all, can I just say, can I fight or what?
“F*** you guys who think I can’t fight, because I can f****** fight. I can box, I can fight and I can look hot on the scale.

Bridges’ boxing record now stands at eight wins and one loss
Bridges’ promoter Eddie Hearn raved about her after the fight.
“There are a lot of people who thought that when Ebanie Bridges came into the sport it was just a gimmick,” the Matchroom chief said.
“Tonight she didn’t get an easy world title, she didn’t get a vacant world title, she beat the oldest defending champion in the division.”
Bridges then posted on Instagram: “AND THE NEW!!!
“Still so overwhelmed by everything but there are no words that will suffice for the gratitude I have for @tibbsboxinglondonw1ltd thank you for EVERYTHING.

The 35-year-old stepped onto the platform again to show off her victory
“I wouldn’t be here without @bionic_bull215 and @ko_ndnbxr who have been here in my corner since the beginning, we’ve been through so much together, so happy to have done this together. Love you guys.
“WHAT A F****** TEAM.
