Eagles’ Jalen Hurts achieves a feat no quarterback has in 30 years
NFL teams know Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts needs to be watched because he can shake things up on the field. Well, maybe not all teams.
The Green Bay Packers couldn’t handle Hurts at all to start their Sunday night game in Philadelphia, as Hurts broke the 100 rushing yard mark. …in the first trimester.
Hurts is now the only quarterback with more than 100 rushing yards in a quarter in the last 30 years, as he had 102 with 52 coming on the first drive of the game which saw Kenneth Gainwell rush from four meters to go up 7-0.

Hurts is also on course to break the Eagles franchise record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a single game, which Michael Vick set at 130 yards in 2010. He finished the first mid -time with 126 yards on 10 carries.
Although Hurts does it against a struggling Packers defense, it’s worth noting that he’s not the NFL’s best rusher among quarterbacks.
