Eagles fan loses job at DEI company after misogynistic attack on Packers fan

A Philadelphia Eagles fan who made crude insults toward a woman supporting the visiting Green Bay Packers during Sunday’s playoff game lost his job this week at a New Jersey company specializing in DEI work due to his conduct, which was caught on a viral video.

The fan, whose name was not released by his former employer, BCT Partners, has also been barred from any future events at Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles’ home stadium, a person briefed on the matter told The New York Times.

In the video, which was shared online early Monday by the woman’s fiancé and viewed more than 31 million times on X, the fan repeatedly insulted and swore at her during the 22-10 victory of the Eagles in the playoffs. . The man sat on the upper deck, one row behind the couple, who both wore Packers jerseys and lived outside Philadelphia.

The woman’s fiancé, Alexander Basara, a Packers podcaster, asked Internet sleuths to help him identify the man.

“How does it feel to go to Philly just to try to support your team…” he wrote. “Unprovoked, unjustified. The Packers are tweeting, help me and find this guy…this is not right, I hate that my fiance did this just by cheering for his team.

In a social media post Tuesday evening, East Brunswick, New Jersey-based BCT Partners wrote that it “decided to part ways” with the employee immediately after conducting an internal investigation into his actions during of the match.
