DUSU Election Results 2025: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won three posts in the DUSU elections with its candidate Aryan Maan becoming the new DUSU president. National Students Union of India (NSUI) candidate Rahul Jhansla got the post of DUSU vice-president.

The counting of votes to choose the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) student council was completed on Friday (September 19). After a very dramatic election on Thursday September 18, the results were announced today.

The ABVP, supported by the RSS-BJP, secured three key positions in the DU student council. Aryan Maan defeated NSUI candidate Joslyn Nandita Choudhary for the post of DUSU president by a margin of 16,196 votes, according to news agency PTI.

ABVP’s Kunal Chaudhary bagged the post of secretary by defeating NSUI’s Kabir. And Deepika Jha won the joint secretary post from Lavkush Bhadana.

For the post of DUSU vice-president, Congress-led NSUI’s Rahul Jhansla defeated ABVP’s Govind Tanwar by a margin of 8,792 votes. He received a total of 29,339 votes, more than the total number of votes received by Maan.

SecretaryKunal Choudhary –23,779Kabir – 16,117
Co-secretaryDeepika Jha – 21,825Lavkush Bhardana – 17,380

This year, NSUI fielded a candidate for the presidential position after 17 years. A total of three women candidates are vying for the position, according to News18.

Until now, DUSU’s presidential post was held by NSUI’s Ronak Khatri, who led NSUI to make a comeback after seven years since 2017, when Rocky Tuseed was elected.

On September 18, NSUI alleged vote manipulation in elections to different colleges such as Kirori Mal, Hansraj and Hindu. NSUI president Varun Choudhary had alleged interference with electronic voting machines (EVMs).

The ABVP rejected the accusations, calling them a “frustration” of the NSUI. But the group accused the current DUSU president Ronak Khatri of entering Kirori Mal University with outsiders and creating a ruckus.

Khatri responded by claiming that the ABVP was “pressuring students to vote” and alleged “vote theft” on campus.
