Dundee 1-2 Celtic: Brendan Rodgers’ side secured three points at Dens Park to maintain their advantage at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

In his first league start for the club since November, James Forrest provided a timely reminder of his class in the 30th minute, connecting with a Kyogo Furuhashi strike and volleying home from the edge of the area.

Tony Doherty’s side, however, responded well to falling behind and were unlucky not to equalise, particularly during a period of sustained momentum after the break.

Forrest was there again with a moment of magic shortly after. The winger gained possession outside the Dundee penalty box before playing a slick one-two and heading home.

Dundee refused to go down without a fight, however, and a deflected Antonio Portales strike wrong-footed Joe Hart to give the hosts a glimmer of hope.
