A dump truck crashed in five vehicles before entering the emblematic whiskey A Go Go Club in West Hollywood, eliminating energy for companies neighboring the region, according to the authorities.
Saadullah Sheikh, spokesperson for the County Fire Service of Los Angeles, said that no injury had been reported and that it was unclear what caused the control of the driver of the dump truck of the commercial vehicle.
The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. when the truck collided with five vehicles before crashing into the building in the 8900 block of Sunset Boulevard, said Sheikh.
Jeff Monford, spokesperson for Southern California Edison, said the tilting skipping truck had dropped a main wire – eliminating the power of some of the surrounding buildings. He said the breakdown initially assigned 1,420 customers, but this was reduced to 225 when the crews redirected energy.
He said the crews were on the spot trying to fully contact the power failure on Friday afternoon, but did not know when the power would be restored.
The photos shared on social networks show a white dump truck filled with dirt resting against the red brick building with a power transformer on the ground. Another photo shows an American postal service vehicle with its broken right side.
A whiskey representative A Go Go could not be reached immediately to comment. Several groups should play Friday evening at the emblematic entertainment location, according to its website.
