Dua Lipa’s Five Glastonbury Outfit Changes Stole the Show

Dua Lipa came to the UK’s famous Glastonbury Festival ready to bring joy to the crowd with her endless hit songs and upbeat dance moves – but she also brought some major fashion moments with her five (!) outfit changes.

Lipa’s explosive concert on Friday, June 28, capped off the first day of the festival with several wild dance numbers and proved that the pop star deserves her continued success. Lipa took to the Pyramid Stage in front of nearly 100,000 people for the first night of the festival, held in the Avalon Valley in Somerset, England.

Between her songs and her electric dance numbers, the singer and host of the show Dua Lipa: At your service The podcast briefly talked about how she “showed up” to headline Glastonbury.

“I wrote this moment, I wished for it, I dreamed for it and I worked really hard,” Lipa said. “It’s a lot, isn’t it? A lot to take in… Little me would just be beside herself right now.”

Lipa ran through her hits including “Training Season,” “One Kiss,” “Levitating,” “Houdini” and more throughout her performance which lasted just under two hours. She also surprised the crowd by bringing out one of her collaborators, Kevin Parker. by Tame Impala to perform his song “The Less I Know the Better”. Parker worked with Lipa on her third studio album Radical optimism – released this year.

Despite the limitations of the festival’s shorter duration, Dua Lipa managed to change outfits five times during her set. Styled by fashion giant Jahleel Weaver — who has worked with Rihanna for years — Lipa’s looks were brought together as part of her current Radical Optimism tour. Weaver said British Vogue that he had about a month to prepare Lipa’s five custom outfits for Glastonbury and created them based on the act from Lipa’s show.

“It’s not Coachella!” But Dua Lipa is still one of the biggest pop stars in the world and so we had to make sure the looks were also ‘stage appropriate,'” Weaver said. “It was easy to do because she’s very open, very fun and will try anything. »
