Newark – A 19 -year -old Newark man faces murder attempts as part of a car shooting series in Alameda County, the authorities.
The first shooting occurred on December 20 in Union City and was followed by two others the same day in Newark, one on Arrowhead Place and the other on Noel Drive, the Newark police department said in a press release.
One person was injured during the Christmas shooting Drive but has since recovered, police said.
The police said that a fourth car shootout had taken place on February 24 on Spruce Street in Newark. No one was injured, but a residence and several vehicles were damaged by gunshots.
After a survey of several months, detectives from the major crimes of Southern Alameda County County County identified Xavier Medina as a suspect in three shots, police announced.
Medina was arrested on April 1 in Oakland. The police said that the detectives had submitted the case to prosecutors, who accused Medina of two chiefs of attempted murder, two heads of shooting in an inhabited dwelling and of committing a crime while he was on bail.
