Known as one of the most versatile defenders of the game, the Green path to the Hustle Award was its ability to do everything.
Although he did not manage a specific Hustle statistic, Green ranked in the top 15 in the five categories and became the first winner in the history of the price to be ranked in the Top 40 in the nine Hustle categories used to determine the winner.
This season, Green joined Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from OKC as only players on average at least 1.45 interceptions and 1.0 blocks per game, while playing at least 40 games. The statistics of Green’s Hustle – 15th in deflections, 13th in shots in the competition of 2 points and 2nd in disputed shots at 3 points – illustrate how it could withdraw such a rare feat.

Draymond Green continues to contribute intangible assets for the Warriors.
As a quadruple all-star from the NBA, double selection of all-nba and eight times the selection of the All-Defensive team, Green becomes the most decorated player to win the Hustle Award. At 35, the quadruple NBA champion also becomes the oldest player to win the honor, proving that Hustle is not only the game of a young man.
Green’s ability and the will to make intangible assets – diving on the ground for loose bullets, sacrificing his body to take accusations, releasing teammates with impactful screens, defending opponents in each position and contesting shots everywhere on the ground – were invaluable for the success of Golden State in the last decade.
Before winning the Hustle Award this season, Green has had three top five in the past eight years, in particular by being the finalist of the inaugural prize in 2016-17 and again in 2022-20
While the Warriors are continuing their fifth title in 11 years – Golden State and Houston are equal to 1-1 in their first round series – the combination of energy, effort, grain and section of green will again be the key to their hopes of championship.
