Bill Murray was taken on video by slamming in a fan who, he said physically, the assault in the hall of a cinema in New York last week.
The actor – in a viral Tiktok clip with more than 1.9 million views – walked inside the AMC Lincoln Square 13 when he suddenly turned to address an unidentified man who spun and dragged behind him.
Murray visited the theater to participate in a question-answer session for a screening of his new film “The Friend”.
“Stop it,” said the actor, who is seen pointing his finger on the man in a subtitled clip “Bill Murray closes the arrogant fan.”
He added: “If you attack me again like that, I’m going to walk on your foot. Don’t do it.”
It is not clear from the clip if the man walked on Murray’s feet, however, the actor seems to stop on his traces before turning to face the man.
The man seemed to be surprised by Murray as he raised his hands in front of the actor, joined by a security guard, was moving away.
“This is a physical assault that you just have -,” said Murray.
“Sorry,” replied the man.
“Do not start again, do not start again,” added Murray. “You are not big enough to do that.”
Anton Gerasimenko, who filmed the Tiktok clip, revealed in Storyful that Murray refused to take photos or sign autographs in advance.

“A fan ignored the refusal and tried to take a photo with Bill in the background,” said Gerasimenko. “The first attempt failed, and inside the theater, the fan tried again, accidentally colliding with Bill.”
