Donate to Arizona Daily Star Send A Kid to Camp and save on your taxes

The Arizona Daily Star Sportsmen’s Fund raises funds so children from low-income households and military families can attend summer camp at little or no cost to their families.

Since 1947, the Athlete Fund has helped pay 43,468 children to attend camp. We are one of the oldest 501(c)(3) charities in Arizona and one of the most successful, with 97 cents on every dollar spent sending children to camp.

This is our 76th year of fundraising to help local boys and girls do more and be more. We kicked off this year’s fundraiser on February 22 with a front-page story and an envelope inside the newspaper. So far we’ve raised $49,954 thanks to the generous readers of the Arizona Daily Star.

Our goal is to raise $225,000 to send up to 700 local boys and girls to camp. Most of the 314 donors whom we thank today have responded to this call.
