Donald Trump suggested that Joe Biden defecated on the Resolute Desk during a fundraiser for a billionaire in Palm Beach.
A source told The New York Times that Trump made the remarks during a 45-minute presentation at a dinner hosted by investor John Paulson on Saturday evening.
The comments come as Trump blasts Biden’s border policies and mocks him for making poor decisions behind the Resolute Desk, gifted to the United States by Queen Victoria in 1880.
“The Resolute Desk is beautiful,” Trump proclaimed. “Ronald Reagan used it, others used it.”
He then looked “disgusted”, according to the anonymous participant. “And he uses it. I might not use it next time. He was soiled. And I mean that literally, which is sad.

The remarks come amid a tirade against the Biden administration’s border policies and the recent influx of immigrants from Latin America.
The source reported that guests burst into laughter, interpreting the remark as the former president saying Biden had defecated on the desk.
The remarks followed a tirade against Biden’s immigration policy, which involves migrants being “shipped, brought and dropped off in our country,” according to Trump.
The former president claimed that newly arrived migrants “make the Hells Angels look like extremely nice people.”
“These are people who come from prisons,” Trump said. “They come from places and countries that are just incredible, countries that are a disaster.”
He then appeared to reference a comment from 2018, when he called Haiti, El Salvador and a large number of African countries “shithole countries.”
“And when I said, you know, why can’t we allow people to come from nice countries, I’m trying to be nice,” Trump said.
“Nice countries, like Denmark, Switzerland, you know? Do we have people coming from Denmark? And Switzerland? And Norway?
Trump has accused migrants of “poisoning the blood of the country” and made similar comments at a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan last week, accusing Biden of starting a “bloodbath” at the southern border of the country.
“Under crooked Joe Biden, every state is now a border state. Every city is now a border city because Joe Biden brought carnage, chaos and killing from around the world and dumped it right into our backyards,” Trump said.
The former president said migrants “make the Hells Angels look like extremely nice people.”
He made similar comments at a rally in Michigan last week, saying Biden “brought carnage, chaos and killing from around the world and dumped it right into our backyards.”
These criticisms were echoed by other right-wing politicians like Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), who accused Biden of opening the floodgates to immigrants with prior criminal convictions.
His concerns were echoed by other conservative politicians like Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn.
In a press release from his office last month, Blackburn claimed that “30,000 illegal immigrants with prior criminal convictions, including homicide, domestic violence and sexual assault,” had entered the country under Biden’s leadership.
“As a direct result of this open border agenda, gang members from around the world are entering America and setting up operations, putting police officers, families and public safety at risk,” Blackburn said.
The statement was titled “Biden’s Open Border Fuels Violent Crime” and referenced Laken Riley, the 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student who was murdered by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela.
While cases of violence are the subject of fixation in the press, the so-called “migrant crime wave” is not supported by the most recent data.
Crime nationwide saw a decline in 2023, according to the FBI, including homicides down 13% year-over-year. This follows an unprecedented increase in homicides from 2019 to 2020.
Additionally, a 2020 study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that U.S.-born citizens are more than twice as likely to be arrested for violent crimes as undocumented immigrants.
