During the call for results in the first quarter of Tesla, CEO Elon Musk announced that from May, he would return from the daily operations of the Ministry of Efficiency (DOGE).
Musk’s comments were received positively by TSLA investors, which led to the increase in the company’s shares despite the missing Tesla expectations.
Musk comments
In his opening remarks when Tesla Q1 2025 results call, Musk recognized that there had been a flower stroke in Tesla because of her activities in Doge. And although he thinks that the demonstrations against Tesla are very organized and probably paid, he also noted that it was time for him to allocate more time to Tesla.
“Probably starting next month, May, my time allowance in Doge will decrease considerably … I will probably allocate more of my time to Tesla now that the main creation work of the Ministry of Effectiveness of the Government is finished,” noted Musk.
Trump’s response
Given Musk’s comments, it is not surprising that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, was questioned about the imminent step of the CEO of Doge. Trump said that he “cannot speak more of any individual” and that Elon Musk had contributed a lot to the administration because of his work with Doge. The president, however, stressed that the backlash against Tesla was extremely unfair.
“I also know that it was treated very unfairly by the, I suppose that he called the public, by certain audiences, not by everything.
The American president also noted that Musk is a great patriot and that people who attack Teslas are “sick”. Trump also praised Elon Musk’s initiatives, declaring that all CEO’s projects are great, from Starlink to Neuralink via SpaceX to Tesla.
