Donald Trump raised $50.5 million at a Florida fundraiser for his 2020 re-election campaign — the most ever raised at a single event.
Saturday’s $250,000-a-ticket party was held at the Palm Beach home of Trump supporter John Paulson and slightly exceeded the $50 million total planned by organizers.
This huge sum is almost double the $26 million that Joe Biden’s campaign recently raised at a party in New York.
And this event benefited from the star power of former Democratic presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

Trump’s fundraising is lagging Biden’s so far.

Team Trump told AP: “It’s clearer than ever that we have the message, the operation and the money to propel President Trump to victory in November.”
