Donald Trump Jr. to visit Romania just before the disputed elections – Politico

Romania will hold the first round of the presidential election on May 4, with a runoff scheduled for May 18. Trump Jr.’s visit will be on April 28.

The country had previously organized a presidential election on December 6, 2024, but it was canceled by the Constitutional Court of Romania due to concerns about Russian interference.

On December 7, Trump Jr. criticized the court’s decision, deeming him “attempted Soros / Marxist” to prevent the pro-Russian candidate from the far right Călinge Georgescu from beat the centrist candidate Elena Lasconi. Trump Jr. referred to George Soros, the Hungarian-American billionaire despised by many on the right for his gifts to centrist and left political causes.

“Wow, look at what’s going on in Romania! The Constitutional Court has just canceled the first round of their presidential election. Another attempt at Soros / Marxist to fuck the result and deny the will of the people. They will lose, and they know it,” he said.

Trump Jr.’s scheduled visit to Romania was reported for the first time by G4media.ro.
