Donald Trump Jr. Calls Daughter Kai Trump ‘Sexy’ Ahead of RNC Speech

Donald Trump Jr. is turning heads after posting a TikTok video in which he calls his 17-year-old daughter Kai “hot.”

In the video selfie, the father-daughter duo were getting their hair and makeup done on Wednesday, just before Kai made his political debut at the Republican National Convention with a speech praising his grandfather, former President Donald Trump.

“Kai, what do you think?” Don Jr. asked his daughter. “Does wearing makeup make me as sexy as you?”

She replied: “I find you very beautiful.”

“Thanks, Kai. I’m glad you think I’m handsome,” Don Jr. said. “I don’t do this often, but in HD, you better do it!”

Commenters below the video were quick to question Don Jr.’s choice of adjective regarding his daughter.

“WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT 😭😭😭” wrote one commenter.

Another added: “I replayed this about 100 times trying to convince myself that I must be mishearing what he was saying.”

At least two other people have pointed out that the remark appears to echo comments Don Jr.’s own father, the former president, has made about his own daughter (and Don Jr.’s sister), Ivanka, over the years.

Trump Sr. said during a 2006 appearance on View that he might date Ivanka if she wasn’t his daughter.

That same year, the The Howard Stern ShowThe former commander-in-chief noted that Ivanka has “always been very voluptuous,” according to a roundup of similar comments compiled by the Independent in 2016. And earlier on Stern’s show in 2003, the then-real estate mogul claimed his daughter had “the most beautiful body.”

“THIS IS GENERATIONAL,” one TikTok user said of Don. Jr.’s video.

Kai stepped into the spotlight Wednesday in Milwaukee, calling her grandfather an “inspiration” in front of a packed convention.

“He’s a normal grandpa. He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking,” she said. “When I made the honor roll, he printed it out to show his friends how proud he was of me.”

Kai also responded to how the family patriarch is perceived in the press in his speech.

“The media makes my grandfather out to be a different person, but I know him for who he is,” she said. “He’s very caring and loving, he really wants the best for this country.”
