Trump is right to seek
Sustainable peace in Ukraine
President Trump rightly says that the Ukraine War cannot be allowed to drag indefinitely in the delirious hope of inflicting the total defeat of Russia. To continue on this path, he risks triggering the nuclear war, an unjustifiable bet.
Given the difficult military situation of Ukraine, the continuation of this war would require increasingly dangerous climbing. For example, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer proposed sending European troops to Ukraine as part of a “non -flying exclusion zone”. Worse, French president Macron has just suggested extending a French “nuclear umbrella” to his European allies, probably including Ukraine, which could lead to a direct nuclear confrontation with Russia.
The climbing of threats like these only makes the initiation of more difficult peace talks. Negotiating an agreement that takes us to sustainable peace should be our main objective. To succeed, all parties, including Ukrainians, must participate.

After 1 month, is it
Why did we vote?
America, we have a problem: a billionaire with a chainsaw and 14 children dismissed thousands of people who work hard to make it a better country, and he has a key to the oval office.
Two of a kind: this guy in Russia and the guy on the golf course want more land. One has tried for three years with hundreds of thousands of lost lives; The other wants our neighbors to the north become citizens of the United States. Now, the “star banner” is hoan in other countries, and the American flag advances in national parks. Europe supports President Zelenskyy, and many Americans show that prices are increasing and that savings are falling.
A month in power, and the guy “has just started”. Is it the country we remember and love?

Department of Education
is a critical agency
I write to express my concern about the Trump administration seeking to eliminate the Ministry of Education.
Certain critical functions of the department include the provision of financing in school districts serving students and students with disadvantaged disadvantaged. In addition, it provides even more funds to higher education. Also significant, it guarantees that all schools receiving federal funds comply with federal laws on civil rights through its civil rights office.
In LOCKSTEP with Project 2025, this administration wishes to eliminate the laws for which the ministry is responsible. He proposed to abolish the title of the first title of the Primary and Secondary Education Act, which finances economically disadvantaged students. Many districts now depend on this funding. If instead, states have full discretion, there will be substantial inconsistencies throughout the country compared to future opportunities for students. Quality public education is a fundamental step to establish a fair playground on the labor market.

Real goal of Trump
Cups: privatization
The Trump administration does not reduce the public service to make it more effective, and it does not intend to make the government smaller. This makes the first steps towards the real objective: privatization.
Once the federal agency services are starting to collapse, their ineffectiveness will be cited as the reason to put them in private business (even if the failure has been designed). Then, you can expect our government services to work just as “wonderfully” as our health care systems, accompanied by age without business, take advantage of citizen services and the billing of mysteries.

Trump’s peace strategy
has meaning
Re: “Trump knocks a knife at the back of a nation in search of freedom” (page A6, March 6).
The writer Thomas Friedman maintains that President Trump makes bad faith to negotiate a peace between Russia and Ukraine. Friedman maintains that even if Trump says he feels the need to speak to both parties, he must actually speak to European allies. But the parties to a peace agreement are the real fighters. If one of the fighters does not like the final product, and only they can refuse or accept it. Trump could express his own opinions, but his only real action would be a refusal to face people who, according to him, are unreasonable.

The United States already have
A presence of Greenland
Mr. Trump, we don’t need to buy, take or “get” Greenland: we are already there.
Thule Air Base was created in 1951. My father worked there. In 2023, the Thule air base was renamed Pituffik Space Base, reflecting its role in the space missions and the traditional name of Greenland for the region.
Trump, your ugly imperialism is not American and hostile. Resign.
