President Donald Trump is expected to launch preparations for the FIFA 2026 World Cup on Friday.
The United States is expected to co -host the football showstopper with Canada and Mexico – two nations that Trump threatened with a trade war next summer.
And in preparation for the international tournament arriving in the United States, the president will sign on Friday a decree creating a White House working group for the event.
The 78-year-old man naturally appointed to be president with his vice-president, JD Vance, who should be vice-president, said a White House official via Fox News.
The working group’s goal will be to supervise the preparations for the World Cup, which is the first in several countries in more than two decades.
The committee will be made up of Trump’s office as well as the main representatives of the government. He will also work with federal agencies in the planning, organization and execution of the World Cup.

The World Cup will start in June 2026, extending on the continent, with 48 teams playing 104 games in 16 different host cities.
Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Kansas City, Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Philadelphia and New Jersey were selected to host games in the United States.
Meanwhile, Stade Metlife had the honor of welcoming the final on July 19, 2026.
