In President-elect Donald Trump’s second post on his Truth Social platform after Israeli and Hamas officials confirmed the ceasefire deal, he boasted that the “epic” deal could not have been only happen following his historic victory in November because it “signaled to the entire world that my administration would seek peace and negotiate agreements to ensure the safety of all Americans and our allies. »
Trump said he was pleased that the American and Israeli hostages were returning to their families and loved ones.
With the deal in place, Trump said his national security team, through the efforts of Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, “will continue to work closely with Israel and our allies to ensure that Gaza will NEVER become a haven for terrorists.”
“We will continue to promote PEACE THROUGH FORCE throughout the region, while building on the momentum of this ceasefire to further expand the historic Abraham Accords,” Trump wrote. “This is just the beginning of great things to come for America, and indeed the world!”
Trump said his team “accomplished so much” without even being in the White House.
He continued: “Imagine all the wonderful things that will happen when I return to the White House, and my administration is fully confirmed, so that it can secure more victories for America!”
