Don Jr. Eric Trump denounces his conviction

“Such bullshit,” Donald Trump Jr. wrote on X, before publishing further articles, criticizing the verdict and baselessly describing the trial as an attempt to interfere with the 2024 election.

Eric Trump, the second son who was the only member of Trump’s family present in the courtroom, also wrote on X that the verdict date could be the day his father won the election.

The rest of Trump’s immediate family members remained silent on social media, but some were also present near Manhattan Criminal Court.

Trump Jr., Eric and his wife and Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump made press statements near the courthouse condemning the verdict.

“It was never about prosecuting an actual crime,” Lara Trump told reporters. “This is a matter of politics, pure and simple.”

As of Friday evening, Trump’s wife, Melania, as well as his daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her husband, Jared Kushner, had not released public statements about the outcome of the trial.
