Dean died on Monday at the age of 82. In an Instagram publication announcing his death on March 3, Parton wrote that he would be “put at rest in a private ceremony with an immediate family.”
On Thursday, Parton shared another declaration expressing its gratitude to those who had stretched their hand to express their condolences.
“It is a note of love to family, friends and fans. Thank you for all the messages, cards and flowers that you sent to pay tribute to the loss of my beloved husband Carl,” wrote Parton on Instagram. “I cannot reach my hand personally with each of you, but I know that it has mean the world for me.”
“He is in the arms of God now, and I agree with that. I will always love you,” continued the post, referring to the single of Parton in 1973 that the late Whitney Houston later recorded for the soundtrack of “The Bodyguard”.
Throughout their wedding of almost six decades, Dean remained out of the public’s eyes despite his inspiration behind tubes such as “Jolene” and his latest successful album, “Rockstar”.
The exhibitions and stages were not strong to dean, but the couple shared the love of Taco Bell and Southern Cooking, told Business Insider before.
