Dodgers place Freddie Freeman on the injured list due to an unhappy update

The Los Angeles Dodgers placed the first goal player Freddie Freeman on the injured list due to a right ankle injury, the same he injured at the end of last season and suffered an offseason surgery this winter.

Freeman is eligible to return on April 10 from the list of 10 days injured. The Dodgers have not announced who will be called in light of the status of Freeman.

The Dodgers revealed that Freeman had an “accident” in the shower, which led the first basic player to modify his ankle (it was not 100% to start). He did not play in any of the three games against the Braves of Atlanta this week.

Freeman commented on the bizarre accident and said he felt much better on Tuesday.

“Halfway through my coffee (Sunday) in the morning, I said to myself:” Oh, I’m just going to shower to prepare for the day “”, said Freeman. “And the next thing you know, I’m in the bathtub. It’s a great mental image, if you want to think about it, big guy falling everywhere. … Weird accident, you can’t really catch up, crazy.

“But it was only one of these things. You slip all the time in baths. And when you are in good health, you simply catch yourself. And when you are not, when you have a small ankle repaired surgically, most of the time, I think it was just gifted everything better.”

Freeman missed a total of five games to start the 2025 season, and yet the Dodgers remain undefeated before their series against the Philadelphia Phillies.
