Dodgers place Freddie Freeman on He with an ankle injury after an “incident” shower

Freddie Freeman finished the MLB 2024 season with a career defined race for Los Angeles Dodgers. He started the 2025 season on a slightly lower note.

The Dodgers announced on Thursday that they placed the MVP reigning World Series on the 10 -day injured list due to a right ankle injury that he suffered to slide in the shower at his home. This decision is retroactive on March 31.

There was no corresponding movement because the dodgers left on Thursday, but they will be able to add a player to their list of 26 men before Friday’s match against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Freeman has appeared in just three games this season and none since March 29. The shower incident would have taken place last weekend, manager Dave Roberts describing him as a “little mishap”, by Sonja Chen de Mlb.com.

Freeman previously missed the two games in the Japan series due to the discomfort of the coasts, echoing his other injury to the World Series.

The ankle is the same which underwent surgery after the 2024 season. Freeman played through the pain for the entire MLB in the playoffs after having seriously walked his ankle at the end of the regular season, and he was also dealing with the cartilage of the broken coast. None of the injuries prevented him from hitting circuits in four consecutive games in the World Series.

It is a different environment now, however. Roberts previously told journalists he expected that Freeman was ready for the matches this week, then good for the series of this weekend against the Phillies. Now Freeman is absent until April 10 at least April 10, which will also miss the series next week against the Washington Nationals. Dodgers should visit President Donald Trump at the White House during this trip.
