The national 2024 National League of Football League has marked an important moment for sport. After years of scandals and violence, there has been a series of good news.
The NWSL has announced a historical dissemination agreement. Player transfer fees were broken three times (then again in 2025). And more young players chose to play in the United States, rubbing the European trend. Meanwhile, the strengths on the field of a multitude of young players and veterans made the exciting games to watch.
A new first video documentation of first For victory: nwsltakes place in the last weeks of the 2024 season and highlights a league in transition.

Three things to know:
- The documentation highlights a change of guard. Players like Alex Morgan, Kelley O’Hara, Becky Sauerbrunn and Christine Sinclair all retired in 2024. Megan Rapinoe retired in 2023. It was a loss for the American national women’s team and the NWSL. These women were part of a generation of gold who fought for the equality of the conditions of remuneration and play and established a new standard to play the game.
- The series follows a more recent generation – like Barbra Banda, Temwa Chaŵinga and Croix Collette Bethune – which already establishes a new standard. Chaŵinga, who was 26 years old, broke the goal record in a season in 2024. Bethune, who was 23, was equal to the league season in 2024 and was the first player to win the recruit of the year simultaneously and the midfielder of the year.
- And the series offers a overview of the construction of culture around the NWSL. This includes things like Kansas City Current which begins the 2024 season in the world’s first football stadium built for a professional women’s sports team. In the series of privileged videos, players talk about how “noisy and odious” fans have adopted the CPKC stadium and made it a difficult place for opposing teams.
What is the following for the NWSL?
The 2025 season begins on March 14. The players will have a lot outside of the victory of a championship. Although there are no major international tournaments planned, young players will try to assert why they belong to the national team, trained by Emma Hayes.
