Update ():
As perhaps, Michael Pachter said he spoke badly about the cancellation of fairgames.
As quoted by the former editor -in -chief of the legal, he said: “I got badly. I said that Jade had been dropped, and I assumed that he had been canceled. I have no information on the game. Do not hesitate to quote this, I really don’t know.”
Thus, Fairgames is, at present, still alive and kicks, then. Of course, this does not necessarily mean that it will never come out.
Original story: The web is flooded with rumors that Sony expresses fairgames.
For those of you who have not followed this game – and, frankly, we do not blame you if you have not done so – it is the anti -millionaire cooperative of the Canadian developer Haven Studio, founded by Jade Raymond and bought by PlayStation a few years ago.
Of course, Raymond has since left the team, and the project would be in a turmoil.
The Japanese giant has shared comments via a small -scale alpha test recently, and this was largely negative, which apparently caused management changes in the company.
The source of the cancellation rumors seems to go back to an episode of The Pachter Factor, featuring the notorious analyst of the industry Michael Pachter, in which he approaches the theme of the live service push of Sony.
“They have transformed all their studios into live service developers,” he said. “But that led to the closure of the Concord and the developer closed, which then made Jade Raymond lets himself go and (fairgames) being canceled.”
We believe that Pachter is just deceiving here: it seems that he has associated Raymond’s departure with the cancellation of the project, which is not the case.
In a statement to Bloomberg when Raymond left the developer, a PlayStation spokesman said he was “determined to support Haven Studios and delighted to continue the trip”.
Now, clearly, fairgames does not meet as well as Sony would have liked, and he does not seem outside the field of the possibility that he could be finally canceled. But as things are presenting themselves at the moment, at the time of writing, our understanding is that the game is always in development.
However, we will check with the holder of the platform and will share all the updates if we get an answer.
