A baby fawn has been confiscated by authorities after a couple brought it to Walmart. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division said it received a call from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office about two people who brought their “pet” fawn deer to Walmart. Game Warden Saxon Campbell was able to find the people and the deer. was confiscated and turned over to a local licensed wildlife rehabilitator. They also received a citation for possessing wild animals without a permit. “Now is a good time to remind everyone that just because you find a fawn ‘abandoned’ by its mother it has probably just been left alone until it returns and it should never be moved,” DNR said in a Facebook post.
