DJ Jeffrey ‘JV’ Vandergrift missing at Wild 94.9 has confirmed his body was found in the water at Pier 39, officials say

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — The body that was found in the water at San Francisco’s Pier 39 is confirmed missing from Wild 94.9 host Jeffrey “JV” Vandergrift, the SF Medical Examiner’s Office said.

SFPD officers responded to Pier 39 just before 5 p.m. Wednesday and located one person in the water. The person was confirmed dead at the scene, police said.
On Thursday, the SF medical examiner confirmed the body was that of Jeffrey Vandergrift, 55, who disappeared in February.

Following the disappearance, JV’s wife released a statement saying “JV will not be coming back.”
Police confirm that no foul play appears to have been involved.
