Dizzy, Venom, Newcomer Unika, and Cyberpunk Edgerunners’ Lucy Announced for Guilty Gear Strive Season 4

A new 3v3 mode is also added to the game

It seems that Arc System Works was a little too eager to reveal their plans for the future of Guilty Gear Strive at Evo 2024. They ended up releasing the trailer a little ahead of schedule. The next four characters for Season 4 were all revealed in the new trailer.

In October 2024, Queen Dizzy will be released as the next DLC fighter. Venom is expected to be released in early 2025. Unika, a newcomer to the series, will be released in 2025. Finally, Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be released in 2025 as the first guest character in Guilty Gear Strive.

Dizzy’s possible inclusion makes sense given that she is considered one of the most popular characters in the Guilty Gear series. The most notable thing about her is that her shapeshifting wings are also referred to as her guardians, known as Necro and Undine.

Ky Kiske is her husband while Sin Kiske is her son. As a half-Gear half-human hybrid, Dizzy is canonically an extremely powerful character. It will be interesting to see what mechanics Guilty Gear Strive will implement for her shapeshifting wings.

Venom is an assassin from the Assassin’s Guild who has direct ties to Zato-1 himself. His weapon of choice is a pool cue.

During gameplay, Venom is known to spawn billiard balls to attack his opponents. He is then able to control these billiard balls to hinder enemies.

As previously mentioned, Unika is a newcomer to the Guilty Gear series, though she is also slated to appear in the upcoming anime, Guilty Gear Strive Dual Riders. Not much is known about Unika, other than the fact that she apparently hates Gears.

It seems that Unika is motivated by the goal of destroying all Gears, for some reason. At some point in the anime, she is destined to cross paths with Ky Kiske. Given that she is a newcomer with unknown origins, her playstyle is currently a mystery.

Finally, Lucy, from CD PROJEKT RED’s Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series, is set to appear in Guilty Gear Strive as the series’ first guest character. Her full name is Lucyna Kushinada.

Lucy is a netrunner, a savvy hacker with cybernetic augmentations, who lives in Night City in the Cyberpunk universe. She will likely use Unity, a heavy pistol, during the game.

Additionally, the upcoming update adds “Team of Three mode,” which seems to be reminiscent of the Marvel vs. Capcom series’ gameplay in that additional characters can be called upon to lend a helping hand. Check it all out below:
