The Disneyland’s Club 33 has long been presented as the club of the most exclusive and mysterious members of the themed park, but that changes as “the happiest place on earth” opens its list of members.
Comfort of the club 33 is that the members and the staff do not speak of the company not so secretly hidden in New Orleans in Disneyland.
Club 33 remains on the bottom with discreet rules and even a dress code. But Disneyland breaks these rules and shares access to its site of club 33 within the Disneyland Resort for the first time by announcing the existence of the online club and on the Disneyland application.
But don’t hold your breath. The waiting list to be joined would have been several years.
The membership request is so coveted that a husband and a woman in Arizona continued – but lost their supply – to find entry into the club after the theme park revoked the members of the couple because the husband was was caught in the park.
The club was founded by Walt Disney itself and, according to the themed park website, it offers various experiences organized for members, including access to exclusive catering places at Disneyland Resort.
Located next to the Blue Bayou restaurant, the club takes its name from its Royal St. Royal address on the Place de la Nouvelle-Orleans in Disneyland. A “33” sign on a locked green door signals the entrance to the mysterious club.
It was inspired by the VIP salons that Walt Disney lived at the 1964 Universal York Exhibition where “It’s a Small World” and “Great Momments With M. Lincoln” made their debut.
The private club opened in 1967. Celebrities who belong to the club include Tom Hanks, Christina Aguilera and Elton John, reported Eater.
Club 33 was the only restaurant and bar in the themed park which served alcohol until the opening of the Oga Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in 2019.
But being a member of club 33 has a high price: up to $ 50,000 for initiation costs as well as annual membership fees of $ 15,000 or more, depending on the level of membership.
How can you join Club 33?
You must be interested in a Club 33 subscription by filling out an online form.
You will be asked to provide your name, address, telephone number and email address.
Submitting a form does not mean that you automatically become a member.
“If the opportunity arises, the club 33 can contact you,” according to the website.
The way in which the leadership of club 33 decides to which person to offer is up to their “only discretion”.
You will only hear the club as the opportunities will be available.
