Disneyland California kicks off 2025, its 70th anniversary, with festivals including Lunar New Year

CHICAGO (WLS) — Disneyland is kicking off 2025 with a bang, and this year is extra special because it’s its 70th anniversary.

From energetic parades to festivals and, of course, seeing fan-favorite characters, there’s plenty of magic for the whole family.

Travel expert Gabe Saglie at Travelzoo joined ABC Chicago affiliate WLS on Tuesday to talk more.

Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebrations kick off on May 16, but the calendar is full of other major festivals and celebrations. These include Lunar New Year, food & Wine and Season of Force.
