Disney layoffs go global as 2,500 more U.S. workers axed this week

The Walt Disney Co. has reportedly started laying off staff overseas as it continues to cut jobs at home, with 2,500 more American workers receiving pink slips this week.
Disney began notifying about 100 foreign workers this week that their jobs were at risk of being cut, according to a report by Deadline. Staff are based in London and throughout EMEA, ie Europe, Middle East and Africa. The number of workers affected should be proportional to the number of layoffs in the United States.
