Disney is selling adorable little houses called “The Cabins” at its Fort Wilderness Resort for $50,000

Disney Resorts is selling all of its $50,000 cabins from its Fort Wilderness Resort to make way for a dazzling new resort.

The 500-square-foot cabins, which are functionally considered “tiny houses,” were built between 1998 and 2001. The fully furnished one-bed, one-bath homes also feature air conditioning, working appliances and can accommodate six people.

The cabins’ official website has them listed at $49,900. Each unit was sold on April 12, awaiting completion, and will be relocated to the buyer’s property.

J&J Venture Group, a local Orlando company, is helping build more than 350 new cabins for the upgraded Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney Vacation Club members program.

The new cabins will begin to gradually open on July 1 this year. The floor plan will replicate that of the old cabins, but will include upgraded amenities and a more modern look.

Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground was founded in 1971 with the hopes of creating a wooded paradise in the otherwise tropical state of Florida.

Offering both cabins and campsites, Fort Wilderness is a great place for families on a longer vacation who don’t mind spending a day or two outside of a theme park.
