Diplo Accused of ‘Revenge Porn’ in New Lawsuit Filed by Woman He Allegedly Had Relationship With

DJ Diplo has been accused of distributing revenge porn in a lawsuit filed in California on Thursday.

An unknown woman sued the Grammy-winning producer, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, for recording and distributing sexual images and videos of her without her consent to third parties, according to court documents obtained by Page Six .

The woman, who lives in New York, claims she had a physical relationship with Diplo starting in June 2016, after they began sending each other sexually explicit messages on Snapchat in April of that year. She claimed that their relationship ended in 2023.

According to the court filing, Doe sometimes allowed Diplo to record them engaging in sexual activity, but “made it known that she did not want Defendant Diplo to record them engaging in sexual activity.” sexual without his explicit consent, nor did she want him to distribute images and images.” /or videos to third parties and has never given them consent.

In November 2023, however, the woman claimed to have been contacted by a third party who said he had received material showing her and the musician having sex.

After their discussion, the anonymous individual who contacted Doe reportedly filed a police report. Doe claimed that “the NYPD has issued an arrest warrant for Defendant Diplo for distributing intimate images and/or videos depicting her.”

Doe is seeking up to $150,000 in damages.

Representatives for Diplo did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

However, his attorney, Bryan Freedman, denied the claim in a statement to Page Six.

“In every instance where an allegation of improper conduct has been made against Wes, the result has been either an immediate dismissal of a bogus lawsuit accompanied by an apology, a court-ordered award to Wes of over $1.2 million, or the slow disappearance of an obvious extortion attempt that led absolutely nowhere,” the successful Hollywood attorney argued.
