For the second consecutive pre-season match, the Browns will launch a recruit quarter. But this time, it’s a different quarter.
The choice of third round Dillon Gabriel begins today against the Eagles, announced the Browns.
Last week, the choice of fifth round Sheder Sanders was the starter. Gabriel and Sanders are part of a competition of four men in the quarter-tree which also includes Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett. Flacco is the favorite to emerge like week a starter.
Gabriel played three years at the UCF, two at Oklahoma and one in Oregon. At 24 and with 63 collegial departures to his credit, he is one of the most experienced quarters of all time, but there are questions to find out if he has physical tools to be a quarter of franchise in the NFL. He will try to start answering these questions today.
