A comment that the quarterrier Browns Dillon Gabriel made during an interview at halftime during the match on Saturday against the Eagles became fodder for questions during his post-match interview.
Gabriel was questioned by the journalist of Browns Sideline Aditi Kinkhabwala on the manipulation of outside noise and Gabriel said that “there are artists and there are competitors and I understand that” before adding that his work is to compete. We asked Gabriel what he meant by that.
Gabriel referred to the media by saying that “you all in this room, they are artists and you have a job to do and I respect it.” He was then questioned on some on social networks by deducting that the commentary referred to his colleagues Browns Sheder Sanders.
“First of all, I am all about our team, you know what I mean? And each other,” said Gabriel, via a transcription of the Eagles. “I would never do that (comment on it). I already said it, that’s why it is interesting. But for me, I explained it, the artists are all of you. A competitor, that’s what I am with all my teammates. We both have jobs to do. That’s all.”
Sanders began the first pre-season match while Gabriel was sidelined by an injury to the hamstrings. Sanders was released on Saturday with an oblique injury and the two recruits should be behind Joe Flacco once the Browns have established their first official depth painting for the 2025 season.
