NEW YORK — Michael Cohen has arrived for cross-examination by defense lawyers for Donald Trump, known for lying to Congress and cheating on his taxes.
Trump’s former lawyer left the witness stand in Manhattan Criminal Court after several days of testimony, having admitted to stealing tens of thousands of dollars, lying to a federal judge and fabricating meetings with a prosecutor. Twice, Cohen was surprised by evidence that appeared to contradict his previous sworn statements at trial.
