Dick Van Dyke proves that age is only a certain number because he closes the criticism of the age of 46 with his wife, Arlene Silver.
“We get along so well,” said the star of “Mary Poppins”, 99.
Silver, 53, added: “We care for each other so much”, explaining that it is “Etoie how well (marriage) works well”.
“People of the same age do not last,” joked Silver.
The Disney icon slowly recalled the makeup artist during the SAG Awards in 2006.
“I never said hello to a strange girl in my life,” he said. “I was too afraid. But I was in a spectacle behind the scenes and she passed, and for any reason, I just jumped and I said: “Hi, I am Dick. There is something about him (who) had me, and I was right.
After their first meeting, Van Dyke hired Silver as a make -up artist for subsequent projects, but they only started to go out together until years later.
The couple also agreed that they are responsible, with a sharing of money that Van Dyke “made me feel that I can do everything.”
“And you can,” replied Van Dyke.
The pair made the knot in 2012 when the actor was 86 years old and the money was 40 years.
Van Dyke, who narrowly escaped the expansive fires in Los Angeles in January, said one day that he did not even realize that Silver was younger decades when he approached for the first time.
“I didn’t know she was half my age,” he told Entertainment this evening in 2024. “Beautiful.”
“I was lucky not to have grown up,” he added in part. “We were supposed to be.”
The star of “Dick Van Dyke Show” was previously married to Margie Willett from 1948 to 1984.
The former couple shares four adult children: Christian, 74, Barry, 73, Stacy, 69, and Carrie Beth, 63.
He also had a long -term relationship with Michelle Triola Marvin, living with the 1976 actress until her death in 2009.
