Celtics guard Derrick White and his teammates are focused on knocking out the Pacers and returning to the NBA Finals this week.

But before the Celtics’ first game against the Pacers on Tuesday night, White made sure to pay tribute to another Boston team competing for a PWHL Boston title.

During his walk through the TD Garden tunnel on his way to the Boston locker room, White wore a PWHL Boston sweater – emblazoned with captain Hilary Knight’s name and number on the back.

PWHL Boston took note of White’s shout-out in his closet, thanking him via X.

PWHL Boston will have a lot to play for Tuesday night at Lowell’s Tsongas Center, as the team takes on PWHL Minnesota in Game 2 of the best-of-five Walter Cup Finals.

Boston won Game 1 against Minnesota, 4-3, on Sunday – with another victory putting Boston on the brink of the inaugural PWHL championship.

Despite a hectic regular season, PWHL Boston is hitting its stride at just the right time. Boston didn’t lose a game in the playoffs – sweeping PWHL Montreal in three games in the league semifinals.

Puck drop for Game 2 between Boston and Minnesota took place at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. The game can be viewed on NESN+, as well as the PWHL YouTube live stream.
