Derrick Lewis was hit with a sex ban by his wife for shouting “good” at Ronda Rousey in an iconic post-fight interview

Derrick Lewis called out Ronda Rousey after beating her husband.

“The Black Beast” knocked out Alexander Volkov with 11 seconds left before taking off his pants and giving one of the most iconic interviews in MMA history in October 2018.

Lewis told Joe Rogan “my balls were hot” as he provided the legendary commentator with a TMI explanation of his antics and went viral in the process.

Footage from the interview is reposted every time he fights, and it’s often accompanied by the conversation he had with UFC interviewer Brian Stann 20 months prior.

The heavyweight knockout artist put Travis Browne, who has been married to Rousey for seven years, to sleep before using his mic time to flirt with “Rowdy.”

Lewis said in his post-fight interview: “Forget that guy, I have a lot more heart than him. Where is Ronda Rousey okay?

Everyone’s favorite heavyweight went viral for his post-fight outburst, which he quickly regretted when his wife placed a sex ban on him due to his lewd comments about Rousey.

Lewis told TMZ in 2018: “My wife, she’s mad, she hasn’t given me any of it since I mentioned (Rousey) in that last interview.

“I need to get this win so I can buy him something nice and hopefully I’ll get a** one next week.”

Lewis was victorious and hasn’t mentioned Rousey in the Octagon since.

However, he is sure to have angered his longtime partner during a 2022 interview with Daniel Cormier, who mentioned that he had recently spoken to Rousey.

The former UFC double-weight champion burst into laughter, as did his camera crew when Lewis asked, “Did she ask about me?” I’m just saying, off the record.

Cormier responded: “There are three cameras, it’s not confidential. She didn’t ask about you.

Lewis replied: “She didn’t?” It’s cool, you know, I’m married anyway.

Rousey never acknowledged Lewis’ apparent interest in her and built her life with Browne after they both retired from MMA.

Lewis has nine wins and two UFC title shots since his famous interview with Stann, but he is currently in poor form and at risk of no longer being considered one of MMA’s best heavyweights.

Just one win in five means Lewis will be fighting to save his career when he faces Rodrigo Nascimento at UFC St. Louis on Saturday night.

Another loss means he will never be able to headline a UFC show again.

A big win and a viral interview will likely propel Lewis into contention for a shot at the heavyweight titles held by Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall.
