Democratic strategist Adrienne Elrod claimed on MSNBC on Wednesday that Biden’s agenda is a popular platform any candidate should be proud to run on, not least because of his economic success.
On “Meet The Press Daily,” host Chuck Todd asked his panelists about their top takeaways from the previous day’s primaries in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Elrod said any Democrat behind Biden’s agenda “has a lot to do” as well as “something to be proud of,” especially when it comes to the economy.
After calling the “insurgent” wing of the Republican Party the new Tea Party, Elrod praised President Biden’s economic record, although a recent Fox News poll showed 77% of respondents rated the economy negatively, including 63% Democrats.

“If you embrace Biden’s agenda, it will take you far,” she said.
“There’s a lot to do here,” Elrod continued. “The economy is doing well – I realize inflation is an issue that the Biden administration is trying to address – but we have record job growth under this administration. We have, uh, jobs in which people really want to work, which are high wages, high paying jobs.”

“There’s something to be proud of and there’s a lot to say. And that’s exactly what John Fetterman did and he excelled in the Democratic primary,” she added, mentioning the presidential candidate. Pennsylvania Democratic Senate which won its primary on Tuesday.

Biden is also languishing personally in the polls, with consistent underwater ratings with the public. A recent survey found that almost 80% of registered voters think the country is on the wrong track.
