Democratic strategist James Carville says ‘party message is full of bullshit’

Prominent Democratic strategist James Carville criticized his own party Saturday in a rant in which he called its posts “full of bullshit” — and accused the Biden campaign of worrying too much about the war in Gaza.

Carville, who helped lead Bill Clinton’s successful 1992 White House campaign, took aim at national Democrats as polls continue to show President Biden struggling in his likely rematch with former President Donald Trump.

“We keep wondering why these young people don’t come back to the Democrats,” Carville, 79, said in a video episode of his Politicon podcast.

“Why aren’t blacks coming back to the Democrats? Because Democratic messages are full of bullshit, that’s why.

“Talk about the cost of living and ‘We’re going to help solve this problem,'” Carville said. “Don’t talk about fucking Gaza and student loans. »

“Why are we canceling student loans for those who go to Harvard,” he asked, comparing the Ivy League school to a “hedge fund with classrooms.”

The cable news pundit has repeatedly criticized the Democratic Party and its leadership in the run-up to the high-stakes November runoff.

In March, he warned that Democrats were losing support among young minority voters at a “horrible” rate on his podcast and blamed “too many women preachers” for the party’s problems in the polls in an interview with the New York Times.

His message to young voters last month was “Fk you,” saying that if Trump won, it would lead to a Supreme Court that would “take away every right you might have.”
