Emergency teams responded to an incident involving a Delta Air Lines flight at Toronto Pearson airport on Monday afternoon, the airport said.
All passengers and the crew were “recorded,” said the airport. A Peel Regional Police spokesman said there were “a few” known injuries and deaths. Greater Toronto Airports Authority will lead the investigation, they said.
Photos on X seemed to show the plane upside down and at least a missing wing.
Bombardier CRJ900 was flying from Minneapolis and was operated by Endeavour Air, a regional subsidiary in exclusive Delta property.
A Delta spokesperson was not immediately able to comment.
The flights to the airport were interrupted due to the urgency, and there are not yet updates at the moment when they could resume. The airport remains closed.
