Delhi CM Kejriwal calls for meeting of all AAP MLAs on Sunday

Released on interim bail, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called a meeting of all Aam Aadmi Party MLAs on Sunday, according to party sources.

AAP in-charge Kejriwal held his maiden roadshow for the Lok Sabha election campaign in the South Delhi constituency on Saturday (May 11).

“This is not a good thing for the country, it is a dictatorship,” Kejriwal said during the roadshow. “Ordinary people must fight against this dictatorship. I am fighting against this dictatorship, but I need your support…”

He also held a

press conference on Saturday (May 11) during which he attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and visited the Hanuman Mandir at Connaught Place in Delhi.

In his first press conference after his release from prison, he asked who would be your Prime Minister, recalling that Narendra Modi had made it a rule that BJP leaders would retire after 75 years.

“PM Modi will turn 75 on September 17. LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sumitra Mahajan and Yashwant Sinha have retired and now PM Modi is going to retire on September 17,” Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal was released from Tihar jail on May 10 evening, after 50 days. The Supreme Court granted him interim bail till June 1 to campaign for the ongoing 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The Enforcement Directorate arrested the AAP national convener in an excise policy case on March 21, days after the schedule for the 2024 general elections was announced.

Meanwhile, AAP’s Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti organized a ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’ cyclathon in Delhi on Sunday.
