OAKLAND – Prosecutors filed two criminal cases against alleged burglars who, according to them, targeted companies around East bay.
In one case, two adolescents were arrested and charged with Smash burglary and seize service stations and convenience stores. In another, a 29 -year -old man was accused of burglary of restaurants who seemed to promote Wendy and Taco Bells in particular, but victims of many San Leandro companies in Pacheco.
The 29 -year -old man, an antioche resident, was accused of five burglary chiefs. He would have been part of a ring that traveled the Bay region that separates in restaurants, and the prosecutors say that he had a police follow -up on his car during some of the burglaries.
The two teenagers, aged 18 and 19, would have reached three service stations and two convenience stores, all in the same day, April 24. They face 10 years in state prison if they were found guilty.
The newly named district prosecutor, Ursula Jones Dickson, has published a declaration saying that retail burglaries are a “high priority” for her office.
