Newark Liberty International Airport is experiencing hundreds of theft and cancellation delays due to construction and staff problems.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, more than 400 flights were delayed on Thursday evening and more than 200 were canceled.
Friday morning, 127 flights were delayed and 18 flights were canceled.
The FAA says that a shortage of air traffic controllers is one of the reasons for the slowdown. The other problem is that the crews breathe one of the three tracks at the airport.
A constant flow of travelers checked the departure and arrival cards inside Terminal B to see the condition of their flights and hoping that they are not canceled. Some were on their phones and computers, seeking litier flights outside Newark.
Other people who saw their canceled flights were able to reserve without being charged with additional costs.
Thursday delays follow a ground stopping Monday caused by what FAA says it is a problem of equipment. He has left many travelers surrounding above hours or some blocked in other cities.
